Many shopping opportunities are available during your visit to the North Coast. Here are a few of the favorites:

The Bayshore Mall on Broadway in Eureka is complete with a wide variety of stores and dinning, including major retail chains, locally owned shops and movie theaters.

Downtown Fortuna and Henderson Center in Eureka both offer an excellent selection of pharmacies, banks, specialty stores and restaurants.

Step into history for a unique shopping experience in one of our Victorian era shopping areas. These include Main Street Ferndale, Old Town Eureka and the Plaza in downtown Arcata.

Main Street Ferndale has been a shooting location for numerous major motion pictures because of it's authentic 19th century architecture. Restaurants, bakeries, butcher shops, soda shops, clothing stores, general merchandise, bars and art galleries are all found on a stroll through the Victorian Village of Ferndale.

Old Town Eureka is another historic shopping district, boasting a colorful past and a wide variety of businesses. Original hardwood floors, redwood framing and beautifully restored structures are common here. Book stores, specialty shops, art galleries, museums, and restaurants fill 20 square blocks of Old Town.

The Arcata Plaza is home to festivals, markets and colorful events of all kinds year-round. It's been a hub of the community for 150 years. The beautiful buildings surrounding the Plaza offer shopping and fine dining of all kinds.
