The trail difficulty is categorized as "moderate" as the path is exposed to weather, and includes some short but steep hills. The trail surface is mostly asphalt, but has some crushed stone at the north end where it loops around, but for the most part your inline skates will be able to deal with the surface. The Arcata hiking trail can be used year-round.
